So here I was: one hour in a 4x4 through jungle and on due towards brings you to a reserve from where both volcanoes are seen. One is Concepcion: a male shaped male energy volcano and the other is the female volcano names Maderas. Both are on an island shaped as the eternity symbol connected by a small piece of land or isthmus. An organic community with a slight influence of Osho : dynamic and kundalini meditations are held every morning at sunrise. Once in, you are amazed at the abundance of fresh organic vegetables mostly greens available from the garden, watered and weeded mostly by volunteers staying here for at least a month. The day begins with a meditation followed by a breakfast of either pineapple juice, pinol porridge with banana or banana with crushed cacao beans and papaya. Followed by a work circle where about 10 volunteers meet guided by Tara, a Brazilian lady who facilitates the volunteers circle and matters on the agenda are discussed such as who's helping to build the shed, who's making lunch, who's emptying the sawdust toilets and who's getting more sawdust. For about four hours until lunchtime volunteers work on beautifying and making the ecovillage better. You wonder how none of them feels exploited. Well, for a certain type of character lounging with three meals a day ready in exchange for five days of work won't seem so bad.
I wasn't one of them. Also I was only wanting to visit for two or three days, but it wasn't possible, as the minimum was 10 days. So I took on it.
It is my 6th day now. So far I've had a major change in my eating and sleeping patterns. I've slept more in my tent in one day than I slept in the last two stressful weeks. I've rested and contemplated on my future career, meditated on certain teachings and did some theta brain sync meditations. I've had them in my gadgets since I went traveling almost 5 months ago, but it wasn't the right situation for me to be listening to them.
Here, we have a temple available for practice any time or day of the week. I definitely made use of it!
It was great.
